Concord High School freshman Savannah Shannon is a competitive athlete who developed an interest in skiing at a very young age.
“I have been skiing my whole life,” she said. “This is my 8th year.”
Shannon’s ultimate goal is to focus on her athleticism without losing motivation as an student. She works hard to balance school work while being an competitive skier.
“Sometimes it gets too much, but I try to keep it steady.”
Shannon skis for both CHS and a club team. Recently she earned a first place in Division I states and second place in giant slalom.
She hopes to continue being competitive and also not lose her own unique personality, which she describes as “goofy, athletic, and funny.”
