First college fair Wednesday

Concord High School will host their annual fall college fairs from 11 a.m.-1 p.m Sept. 19 and Oct. 3, both Wednesdays.

All grades are welcome. The college fair will be held in the CHS gym.

It is important to go because “the person who is standing there representing the college is usually the person who reads you application.” said Commons B counselor Jonathan Flower.

More than 80 college representatives will be available to students this year.

Just remember there is no senior parking the day of either college fair.

Sept. 19 colleges will include: Anna Maria College, Champlain College, Dean College, Dickinson College, Emmanuel College, Endicott College, Fisher College, Fitchburg State University, Great Bay Community College, Husson University, Johnson & Wales University, Keene State College, Lakes Region Community College, Lasell College, Lesley University and Lincoln Tech.

Also: Middlebury College, Mount Holyoke College, New England College, New Hampshire Army National Guard, Providence College, Retirement and College Financial Services of Vermont, Rivier University, Roger Williams University, Sacred Heart University, Saint Anselm College, Saint Joseph’s College-Maine, Saint Michael’s College, Salve Regina University, Seton Hall University, Southern New Hampshire University, Springfield College, Stonehill College and Suffolk University.

Also: UMass Boston, United States Marine Corps, Unity College, Universal Technical Institute, University of Hartford, University of Maine at Farmington, University of Maine at Fort Kent, University of Maine at Machias, University of Massachusetts Lowell, University of New England, University of New Hampshire, Durham, University of New Hampshire, Manchester, University of New Haven, University of Rhode Island, University of Southern Maine, Vermont Tech, Verto Education, Western New England University, Wheaton College, and Worcester State University.

On October 3 representatives from the following colleges will be at CHS: Becker College, Bentley University,Colby-Sawyer College, Fairfield University, Lakes Region Community College, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, New Hampshire Army National Guard, NHTI, Concord’s Community College, Plymouth State University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Retirement and College Financial Services of Vermont, Roanoke College, Saint Joseph’s University, Southern New Hampshire University, Thomas College, University of Maine, Orono, University of Rochester, and University of Vermont.

Students who don’t know what college representatives to approach can ask one of the CHS counselors for direction.

“Biggest thing to bring is bravery; being fearless to walk up to someone and start a conversation.” said Flower.
