Social studies teacher Chrigus Boezeman, one of the organizers of Friday’s annual Field Day for freshmen, challenged student “tributes” to stand in the same position for more than five minutes. Hanson, representing team “Angry Burd,” Oberg, of the “Donnasaurous Rexes,” and Ward, one of the “Boezemen,” ended up tied in this competition, though overall on the day, the “Empires” scored the most points and won the honor of having their team name engraved on a ceremonial plaque.
