The Choco Taco was discontinued in July 2022 because the company got requests for new flavors.

People were upset and surprised when they went to order the Choco Taco from the ice cream truck and it was discontinued.

Many posted complaints on social media, leading Klondike, owned by Unilever, to announce efforts to bring it back, though a timeline has not yet been announced.

The Choco Taco is not the only popular food product to have been discontinued in recent years. Companies have also quit making Altoid Sours, Haagen-Dazs Black Walnut Ice Cream, Hershey’s Donut Bites and Jell-O Pudding Pops.

The Chaco Taco is a taco shell made from waffle cone filled with vanilla ice cream and a chocolate swirl. The top is dipped in chocolate with rice crisps.

Invented in 1983 by Alan Drazen, who was the senior Vice President of the Jack and Jill Ice Cream Company in Philadelphia, the Choco Taco was a staple offered by ice cream trucks.
