Table decorations from last year’s prom

The Concord High School senior prom will take place Thursday, June 16, from 7-10 p.m., at the Bank of NH Stage located at 16 S. Main Street.

Below are answers to frequently asked questions:

Do I need an actual ticket? No. If you paid for yourself (and a guest) to attend the prom, your names are on the guest register. Everyone will go through a check-in process prior to the start of the prom. Be sure that your guest (if not a CHS senior) is with you at the time of check in. If you arrive and your name or a guest name is not on the registration list, admission will not be permitted.

Will food be served? Yes! The event is catered by Celebrations Catering and we will have a variety of food options. There is no additional charge for food or drink.

Need to know:  Main Street will be closed 5:30-7 p.m. from the corner of Pleasant Street to the Bank of NH Stage.

Where should attendees park? Capital Commons Parking Garage at 80 Storrs Street is open to the public. Parking does end for public spaces in the garage at 7 p.m. and it will become free. The garage is .50 per hour in the public spaces prior to 7 p.m. The parking spaces marked with “reserved” signs are reserved spaces for permit holders and not available until after 7 p.m. On-Street spaces are $1 per hour and payment is required through 7 p.m. as well. Senior Class Advisors did attempt to secure free parking in the garage for attendees, but we were unable to do so. Please make sure to pay the meter, as it will cost less than a parking ticket.

What if I am being dropped off?  Do not get dropped off until after the street has been closed. Attendees should be dropped off on the corner of Pleasant Street and Main Street.

What time should prom attendees arrive? Prom attendees should arrive between 6-6:15 p.m. to line up for the CHS Prom Red Carpet Event.

Where should attendees go when they arrive? We are going to organize all attendees for the Red Carpet on the sidewalk next to Live Juice.

What is the CHS Prom Red Carpet Event? The Red Carpet is a long standing tradition for Concord High School.  Community members are invited to attend this CHS tradition to cheer on and celebrate our seniors and their guests as they walk the red carpet into prom. This event will start at 6:30 p.m. We recommend community members arriving early.

Will there be a professional photographer at the prom? No. Parents will have a chance to take pictures during the red carpet event.

What entertainment will there be at prom? There will be a professional DJ and a slideshow playing throughout the event. The slideshow will be a compilation of images submitted by members of the CHS Senior Class. If you would like to add photos to the slideshow, you can do so by submitting them to the Instagram account at  @chs_senioryear or emailing photos to Mrs. Tancrede at [email protected].  We reserve the right not to include any photo we feel is inappropriate.

Lastly, a friendly reminder that this is a school-sponsored event. Any attendee who does not follow school rules while at this event will be escorted off of the premises and additional actions will follow if necessary at the discretion of the Concord High School administration.
