Wednesday was also Dress Like a Teacher day for students as part of Spirit Week, but Mikell said he wasn’t dressed as any specific instructor.

Freshman Josh Mikell helps collect windblown trash from the edges of Senior Parking on Wednesday, April 20. The annual effort was sponsored by the EnviroCorps Club in recognition of Earth Day April 22. Students from various classes collected empty chocolate milk cartons, loose wrappers, empty plastic soda bottles and the like. Earth Week activities included a Wednesday evening screening at Red River Theatres of YOUTH v. GOV, a documentary about adolescents and young adults suing the government for climate crisis inaction. The screening and a post-film panel discussion of the court case, Juliana v. The United States of America, were organized by NH Interfaith Power and Light, the League of Conservation Voters, the Conservation Law Foundation, and the Warren B. Rudman Center at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law. Red River made admission free for local students.
