Parking challenges persist

Finn Brown (left) and Danny O’Brien walk to their cars in the senior parking lot after school  September 28. The parking situation is known to be an issue at Concord High School, where there are not enough spots in the senior lot for all senior drivers. Finding an alternative is always a challenge. Many students park on streets surrounding the school after the lot at Memorial Field, about a half mile away, also fills up. Frustration rises when somebody parks at an angle, or straddles two spaces, making senior parking even smaller for the day. “People should adjust their parking jobs, adjust if they don’t park well. There are people who don’t park very well but they don’t fix it,” O’Brien said. And every year, during the first few weeks of school, some underclassmen sneak in. “If you aren’t a senior you shouldn’t park there.”
