Sophomore Will Richards challenged several students to chess

In this year of so many postponements, cancellations and remote events, it was nice to have Winter Carnival at Concord High School, even if the fun day was held three months later than usual, on May 28, and held at Memorial Field.

Nearly a dozen different clubs were involved with Spring Fling, and each had their own gifts and treats for students.

Nearly a dozen clubs, including Anime Club, Model UN Club, and Robotics Club, were represented at the event.

Each grade level was given a different class period to attend, and luckily for all, the weather cooperated.

Games included volleyball, tennis and basketball. Many students enjoyed just talking with friends outdoors.

And for graduating seniors, a special surprise parade from the high school down South Fruit Street to Memorial Field featured floats designed by staff and students.

And even though the event looked a lot different than in previous years, the Spring Fling never lost its, well, fling.

Spring Fling royalty votes were incredibly close, according to Varsity Club advisors Graeme Crowther and Derek Mercier.  Winners were Augustine Twite and Maria Armaganian.
