Senior Christina Singer sits on her bedroom floor at the end of April vacation going through some homework she still has to do. Rainy, raw weather provided for a perfect excuse to stay inside in pajamas all day. “I hate the weather here,” said Singer, who plans to take a year off next year and move to Florida. “I’m gaining residency so that I can can to the University of Central Florida at the in-state tuition price,” she explained. As a backup plan, Singer also applied to and was accepted at Valencia College. “I might end up taking classes there next year. By doing that, I can knock my general education requirements out of the way.” Like many students about to graduate in June, Singer admits to some senior year burnout.
