Cosmetology in action

On Friday, Feb. 8, Pembroke Academy junior and Concord Regional Technical Center student Madison Prusia practices her braiding technique in the Crimson Creations Salon in Concord High School. The Crimson Creations Salon is used by students of the CRTC’s cosmetology program. Prusia, a first-year cosmetology student, is preparing to test out on this particular skill. “[Cosmetology] helps me to practice with something I’m not good at, before I actually have to do the real thing,” she said. CRTC is currently accepting applications for next year’s enrollment in programs that also include Automotive Technology, Computer Technology, Construction Trades, Criminal Justice, Culinary & Pastry Arts, Emergency Services, Graphic Design & Creative Media, Health Science and Theater & Film.
