Concord High School’s Best Buddies club is hosting a Meet the Parents Night tonight from 6-8 p.m. in the Student Center.
Best Buddies is an international organization promoting ways that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can engage and interact with others in school and beyond.
Special education teacher Jen Looney, head of the Best Buddies program at CHS, said the club is open to anybody who wants to join the fun.
“It’s a great organization to pair students with disabilities and without to help make friends,” Looney said.
The CHS chapter, now in its fourth year, continues to prosper and grow.
Constantly Pizza is helping to sponsor the event by providing free food.
In addition to providing current and future participants with more information about the club and planned activities, the event serves as a potential for a fundraiser to help raise money for upcoming events.

In other Best Buddies news, Looney announced today that the club will have a fundraiser at Panera on Fort Eddy Road tomorrow, Dec. 5, from 4-8 p.m.
“If you show a flyer when placing your order, 20% of your bill will go towards Best Buddies CHS,” Looney said in an e-mail to the CHS community. Flyers are available in the front office.
