UNH trip Friday

UNH+trip+Friday

On Friday, November 3, Concord High School students will be going to the University of New Hampshire (UNH) to learn more about the college and about post secondary education in general.
Participants will leave at 8:45 a.m. and return at around 2 p.m.
Sophomores, juniors and seniors who have an NGA of 2.5 or higher will be able to attend to learn about how important it is to go to college and how competitive it is to get into colleges.
Participants will get a tour of the campus and be able to ask a student body member about what happens on a daily basis at college.
They will also be provided with a free lunch at the UNH kitchen which has a reputation for offering cuisine choices from all over the world.
“It’s not just a tour of UNH,” said CHS faculty member Anna-Marie DiPasquale. “There is an admissions panel so that you know the transcript and how to get in.”
English teacher Jill Dater reports about what the school was like for her. “I had gone to a small liberal arts school and had great teachers, so when I went to a big school like UNH I thought it was going to be like a factory and the teachers would be terrible. It turned out to be the opposite and I am still in contact with one of my old teachers.”
