Strenuous dreams

Strenuous+dreams

Exemplary student work being celebrated by English 10 teacher Meredith Vickery this month includes “Strenuous Dreams,” a blog created by Concord High School sophomore Kayla Cote.
“Kayla Cote’s argumentative piece addresses the Langston Hughes poem ‘Dream Deferred or Harlem’ and it’s connection to The Other Wes Moore, the book we are reading in class,” Vickery reports.
“Kayla grapples with difficult concepts that the text highlights about dreams and goals. She also incorporates different blogging requirements that we have worked on in class. Her blog entry was selected by other tenth grade classes doing the same assignment as one that stood out as an exemplar.”
