Makris was looking for some extra skate practice before the upcoming hockey season. “I love coming here with friends. It’s a laid back environment and it’s a lot of fun,” he said. Tryouts for this year’s boys’ varsity team will take place Nov. 28, 29 and 30 at Everett Arena. Girls’ tryouts will take place Nov. 29 and Dec. 1, probably at St. Paul’s School rink. (The location has yet to be confirmed.) Both teams will open their seasons Wednesday, Dec. 14, with home game at Everett Arena. Girls will play Exeter and boys will play Bedford.
