Birthday bash
The entire Concord High School community gathered in the gymnasium during pd. 4 April 15 to celebrate Principal Gene Connolly’s 60th birthday. The CHS Marching Band provided some music; faculty musicians also performed with Angel Douglas providing vocals. Attendees watched a slide show featuring photographs of Connolly at work as CHS principal, a post he has held since 2002, and, after a series of games, everybody ate cake baked by volunteers including students of April Hall and Myrna Vashaw. Festivities were supported in part by a large donation from the Varsity Club.
