Past and present members of Concord High School’s Drama company, CAST, joined together to make for three nights of spectacular shows Thursday through Saturday, January 14-16, at 7 p.m.
CAST put on Dessert Theatre, a show full of songs and numbers from productions of past years, including Little Shop of Horrors, RENT, Jekyll and Hyde, The Phantom of the Opera, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Miss Saigon.
The company also joined hands with the CRTC Culinary Arts program, which provided desserts for the audience during an extended intermission. Tickets were $15 for the show, with desserts included.
“It’s a great opportunity to see the best parts of any shows you might’ve missed in the past five years, and also enjoy some amazing dessert,” said sophomore Rachel Ferrier, who was a part of the Dessert Theatre cast.
The cast and crew joined together to end the show with a number from the musical Les Miserable.
“I usually am behind the stage, doing tech, and being able to sing behind the stage is cool, but being onstage with the entire cast is indescribable!” said sophomore Alix Marrone.
Tryouts for CAST’s next production, Anything Goes, will take place Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 27 and 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
