Around and about

While the focus may be on the upcoming national election Nov. 3, local races have a big impact too. People are sporting political signs in their yards as a way to show support for candidates they like. The results of school board elections have the potential to have the biggest impact on young people. This photograph, taken Oct. 21 at the rotary where Liberty Street meets Centre Street, shows three out of four signs posted by school board candidates. Older Concord High School students and recent graduates can use their new-found voting powers to influence leadership and the world at large.
