College fair a hit

Dozens of college representatives filled Concord High School’s orange carpet area Wednesday, Oct. 2, for the second of two college fairs this year. Students flowed in and out collecting brochures, maps and advertisements. Freshman and sophomores explored tables generally while juniors and seniors discussed their post-CHS plans with representatives from colleges, universities, trade schools and the military.
While the first fair Sept. 18 did not feature many Granite State schools and organizations, Colby-Sawyer College,  Franklin Pierce University, Granite State Trade School, Keene State College, Lakes Region Community College, Manchester Community College, New Hampshire National Guard, New Hampshire Technical Institute, Plymouth State University, Saint Joseph’s College and the University of New Hampshire were all in attendance this week.
Other participating schools and organizations included Becker College, City Year, Empire Beauty Schools, Endicott  College, George Mason University, Johnson & Wales University, Lasell University, Lesley University, Lincoln Tech, Northern Essex Community College, Northern Vermont University, Providence College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Saint Michael’s College, Salve Regina University, Simmons University, University of Maine at Orono, University of Rhode Island, U.S. Army Recruiting Station, U.S. Naval Academy, Western New England College and Wheaton College.
