Homecoming pride

Senior Lea-Ann Downs watches the scoreboard as she sits by a rainbow flag at the Homecoming football game Sept. 24. Various clubs that had marched in the Homecoming parade that morning included Tide Pride, Concord High School´s GSA (gay-straight alliance). Tide Pride works to make the school a safe space for LGBT students. The Film Society Club won the float contest in the parade. Following the football game, students attended the Homecoming dance and a Homecoming king and queen were declared at halftime. CHS ended up losing to Merrimack 55-20 and then lost again at home October 7. Two victories on the road gave the team a 2 win, 6 loss record going into their final game of the season on Oct. 28 at Memorial Field.
